Ember is a city in darkness only kept light by its increasingly unreliable electric system. Everything else is falling apart as well. Stockpiles of food and essentials that have lasted hundreds of years are running out. Can Lina and Doon figure out the nature and purpose of Ember and reveal all before the corrupt Mayor stops them.
